Mingtiandi’s APAC Data Centre Forum 2022 enters its second week with a solo interview with the chairman of Princeton Digital Group as well as panel discussions on the hyperscale and Greater China markets as the region’s top conference on data centre investment continues on MTD TV.
On Tuesday, 13 September, Rangu Salgame, who co-founded Princeton Digital Group in 2017, will join Mingtiandi chief analyst Michael Cole for a spotlight interview at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time which will explore the future of Asia’s hyperscale sector, as well as taking a closer look at PDG’s plans for the $505 million in new capital it raised earlier this year.
The event series, which is sponsored by Yardi, will continue on Wednesday, the 14th with a panel discussion on investing in Asia’s hyperscale market, and on Thursday, the 15th, MTD TV will return with a panel on opportunities in Greater China’s data centre environment.
The three sessions in the coming days follow Mingtiandi’s interviews last week with JLL, YCO Cloud Centres and Singapore online investment platform SDAX, which attracted more than 600 viewers in total.
Hyperscalers and Greater China
The panel discussion on Asia’s hyperscale market, which also starts at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time, brings together Paul Dwyer, who recently joined Logos as head of data centres, with Edwin Wong, a partner with Baker McKenzie who has advised fund managers on a number of data centre investments and Vivek Dahiya, a managing director with Cushman & Wakefield who serves as the firm’s India lead for data centres and new initiatives.
The panelists will be sharing from their experiences working with the Internet’s biggest data centre users, including e-commerce platforms, content providers and cloud platforms, to fulfill their server hosting requirements.
The Greater China panel, which will commence at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time on Thursday, will include Joelin Ma, a director for non-listed real estate for Asia at Dutch pension fund manager APG Asset Management, Zhang Hong, head of the private equity practice for law firm Baker McKenzie Fenxun in Shanghai and Johnny Shao, a managing director for investments with Gaw Capital Partners.
