Today was the last day before the big holiday for me.
Sure I could stay around and try to work on Monday and Tuesday, or maybe even work through the holiday like I did the first year that I started 8 Days. But its pretty tough to get much done in the way of meetings, when most people’s minds are fixated on holiday. And since they now have wireless on the beach, work that I can get done on my own can be done just as well in southern Thailand as it can be here in frosty Shanghai.
So I’m off for a couple of weeks of work/vacation on the sands of Thailand. Will keep you updated from there.
Luckily, we had some good news to send us off on the break, our new company name was approved by the Commercial and Administrative Bureau (Gongshangju):
Rightsite Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd
领业信æ¯ç§‘技(上海)有é™å…¬å¸
Ling Ye Xin Xi Ke Ji (Shanghai) You Xian Gong Si
Pretty flashy, eh? Well, it’s mine now. Just wait about five more months and it’ll all be official.
There’s only the two of us on the team, but we still managed to have our first annual new year party. We got a few of our contributors together and partied it up at Malone’s. Beer! The universal festive custom.
And now, with hangover intact I am very unfestively getting on the plane. Will keep you all posted and enjoy the holiday!
