Michael Lane, Managing Director, SC Capital Partners

Mr. Lane joined the firm in 2009 and is involved in the acquisition, value enhancement and realisation activities of real estate investments primarily in the Greater China region.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lane worked for four years as an Asset Manager at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (“MSREF”) in Shanghai where he was responsible for managing approximately $500 million in real estate equity investments, including office, retail, residential, hotel, and operating company platforms. From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Lane was a Partner and co-founder of Pangu Investments, a real estate investment fund focused on China investments, as well as a Research Analyst at Cushman & Wakefield. Mr. Lane started his career at Merrill Lynch working as an Associate Financial Advisor from 2001 to 2003 for a high-net worth wealth management group, managing $500 million in investable assets.

Mr. Lane graduated from Pomona College in Claremont, California with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Minor in Economics. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

SC CapitalSC Capital Partners Pte. Ltd. (“SCCP”) was established in 2004, and is a privately owned Asia Pacific real estate investment manager headquartered and MAS-licensed in Singapore.
