Koichiro Obu, Head of Real Estate, Japan, Head of Real Estate Research, Asia Pacific, DWS
Mr. Obu joined the company in 2007. With more than 20 years of experience in real estate research, he is responsible for building strategies and coordinating coverage of real estate markets in Asia Pacific. He also heads real estate team in Japan since 2023. Before joining, he was Head of real estate and construction team at Corporate Research Department at SMBC in Tokyo and was also a senior researcher at SMBC in London covering the real estate sector in Europe. He received a B.A. in economics from the University of Tokyo.
