Jingwen Ong, APAC Research Manager, DC Byte
Jingwen sits across the South Korean and Japanese data centre markets. She has delivered briefings, analyst support, and consultancy work on all of these markets and beyond for major global investors and operators to influence multi million-dollar business decisions. One example of such work would be a Japan market study relating to the acquisition of shares in a centrally located data centre in Osaka by Mapletree Industrial Trust, supporting the REIT’s strategic entry into one of the largest DC markets in APAC. Jingwen also recently moderated and presented keynote sessions at the W.Media events in her markets in June and August this year, alongside speaking at closed-door investor events for multinational investment banks.
Jingwen holds certification for the DCPro Data Centre Design Awareness course and is an intermediate Korean and Japanese speaker, which helps in conducting research and building her network with industry experts on the ground.
Prior to DC Byte, Jingwen had work experience as a researcher in the public service sector. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and an Intermediate Japanese certificate issued by the National University of Singapore. In her leisure time, Jingwen marries her passion for languages with her hobbies through computer games, reading, and listening to music.
