Gauri Shankar is the Chief Executive Officer, of India Business Parks, CapitaLand Investment.
In this role, Gauri Shankar oversees investments, development, operations, asset management, and strategic planning for CapitaLand Group’s business parks in India and will lead the expansion and enhancement of the Group’s portfolio of assets in the country.
He was previously based in Mumbai, where, as the Head of Investments and CFO, he helped set up and scale Ascendas-Firstspace – CapitaLand’s industrial and logistics platform in India. Prior to that, Gauri Shankar worked in Singapore, managing Ascendas-Singbridge’s India Private Funds business.
Gauri Shankar has more than 20 years of experience in real estate, diversified across multiple asset classes and geographies. Within real estate, he has worked in private equity, fund management, corporate finance, banking, and advisory. His previous stints include those at Deloitte, TAIB Bank, and Samba Financial Group.
He is a graduate of London Business School and has an undergraduate degree from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.
