
David Cheong, Managing Director, Co-Head of Acquisitions, Asia Real Estate, KKR
David Cheong (Hong Kong, Tokyo) joined KKR in 2015 and is the Co-Head of Acquisitions on the Asia Real Estate team. Mr. Cheong serves as a member of the Asia Real Estate Investment Committee as well as on the board of KJR Management, KKR’s Japan-based real estate asset management platform. Before joining KKR, Mr. Cheong was a portfolio manager at LIM Advisors, overseeing public equities and special situation investments in Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong. Before LIM, Mr. Cheong was a member of the Lehman Brothers Real Estate Private Equity team in Tokyo. He started his career at Lehman Brothers Global Real Estate Group in New York. Mr. Cheong holds an M.B.A. and an M.A. from the Wharton School and the Lauder Institute as well as a B.A. and a B.A.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.
