Michael Klibaner has joined Blackrock in Hong Kong as Head of Asia Pacific Real Estate Research for the global asset management firm. In his new role, Klibaner will be responsible for thought leadership and support of the company’s fund raising, acquisitions and due diligence. The Princeton University graduate comes to Blackrock after spending more than eight years with JLL, most recently as Head of Research for Greater China.
Frances Sun has relocated to Shanghai with Tishman Speyer, to serve as Senior Director for Global Corporate Outreach and Business Development with the US real estate developer. In her new role Sun heads up new business development and corporate outreach efforts for Tishman Speyer in China and across Asia. This latest position comes after the Monash University graduate spent more than three years with Tishman in London as a senior director driving the company’s talent strategies in Europe.
Abhishek Bajpai has been promoted to Executive Director at Colliers International in Singapore, where the long-term Colliers veteran will continue to direct the company’s Corporate Solutions team. This latest step up came after the Nanyang Technological University graduate spent more than three years as Director with the same division. In all, Bajpai has now been with Colliers for eight years, after joining from rival CBRE.
Danny Gao has joined Red Trust Capital Management in Beijing as Investment Director with the local real estate investment firm. Gao signed up with Red Trust after spending more than two years with Singapore-based industrial real estate investor, Global Logistic Properties (GLP) where he served as Business Development Manager for North China. Gao, who graduated from the Cass Business School at City University of London also has experience with industrial developer China Fortune Land and Savills.
Catherine Chan has joined Colliers International in Shanghai as a Director with the property consultancy’s International Properties team. Chan has a long history of project marketing and asset management in China, having previously served in such roles with Morgan Stanley and Portman Holdings in Shanghai. Most recently, the graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in the US was Head of Marketing with IMC Octave – the real estate and hospitality arm of Singapore-based IMC Group.
Joshua Zheng has joined Hewlett-Packard as Real Estate Project Manager for Greater China with the Silicon Valley-based technology company. In his new role, Zheng will assume responsibility for project management and workplace strategies for HP, after spending four years as Project & Operation Director with Shanghai New Trend Consulting. Zheng also has previous experience in real estate roles with Deutsche Bank and Ernst & Young.
