Greater China Real Estate People in the News 2016-04-25

This week one of the UK’s best known developers appoints a new chief representative for China, a Shanghai builder adds senior management to its industrial team, and some international talent heads south from Shanghai to Hong Kong. Read on for all the details on who found a new role among Greater China’s real estate community.

brenda-chungBrenda Chung has been promoted to Executive Director and Chief Representative China for China with Grosvenor Asia. In her new role, the 15-year veteran of China’s real estate investment industry is responsible for balance sheet investing, strategy setting and investor relations/partnerships with a focus on core and development opportunities in China. Chung takes her step up at the UK developer after previously serving for more than two years as Grosvenor’s director of asset management, and will continue to be based in Shanghai.

alex-youngAlex Young has joined real estate developer Baoland as General Manager for Industrial and Logistics with the Shanghai-based company’s division specialising in developing workshops, warehouses and business park space. Young came on board with Baoland this month after spending just over one year as vice president and business development director with Warbug Pincus-backed serviced apartment investor Nova.

louisa-luoLouisa Luo has been promoted to Executive Director as she continues her role as head of industrial and logistics services at CBRE China. Luo takes on her new title just two years after being promoted to senior director with the real estate agency. The graduate of Shanghai University of Engineering Science continues to lead CBRE’s efforts to assist occupiers with strategic planning, transaction management, tenant representation, sell and leaseback, and build-to suit services.

colly tuColly Tu has joined Colliers International in Hong Kong as an associate director with the property consultancy. Tu relocated from Shanghai to Hong Kong for this new role, after spending more than two years in Shanghai, first with Cushman & Wakefield, and later with CBRE. In her previous role with CBRE, Tu served as an associate director with the company’s retailer representation team for more than one year.

jason-fongJason Fong has moved up a notch to become a manager with the research team at CBRE in Hong Kong. Fong, who holds an MBA from the the University of Hong Kong, specialises in covering the Asia Pacific industrial market including non-traditional sectors such as self-storage and data centres. Fong received this latest promotion after spending just over one year as a senior analyst with the real estate agency.
