This week in the world of China’s real estate professionals an Aussie shed-builder takes on new business development talent, a long-time Hong Kong commercial consultant finds a new home in Shanghai, and one of China’s biggest cross-border developers beefs up its investment team. Roger Liu has joined industrial real estate investment house Goodman China as Business Development Director for Eastern China. Liu will be based in Shanghai for the Australian developer of warehouses, business parks and industrial facilities, where he will be tasked with assisting corporate tenants to find leasing and development opportunities in the region. The industrial property veteran comes to Goodman from Ping An Real Estate, where he had spent nearly two years as Investment Director after joining in 2013 from property consultancy CBRE.
Claire Stephens Saeki has joined JLL in Shanghai as Head of Consulting for China with the property consulting firm. In her new role Saeki will be responsible for developing workplace strategy, change management and portfolio planning on behalf of JLL’s multinational clients. Saeki comes to JLL from Johnson Controls where she had spent just over a year as principal workplace consultant, providing workplace strategy, portfolio optimisation, consulting and change management for the company’s clients.
Zhanbin Wang has joined Hong Kong-listed developer Oceanwide Holdings as an Investment Manager, based in Beijing. In his new role Wang will be responsible for overseas real estate investment and development for the developer, which has recently purchased projects in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. Prior to joining Oceanwide Wang served for over two years with CBRE in Beijing as a senior valuer.
No’man Marsuni has joined Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty as a Manager for Real Estate and Operational Support for Asia, based in Singapore. Marsuni comes to the European insurance giant from Colliers International in Singapore where he had served for over two years, most recently as a business development manager after joining the real estate agency as an assistant manager in the facilities management division in 2013.
Tiffany Shi has joined mall developer and operator K11 Concepts Limited as Senior Leasing Manager for Retail Development, based in Shanghai. Shi comes to the Hong Kong-based retail arm of developer New World from Shanghai’s Grandview Mall where she had spent 20 months as a senior leasing manager. Shi also has previous retail leasing experience with Sun Hung Kai and Swire Properties.
Peter ZDT Li has been promoted to Senior Manager with newly merged property agency DTZ Cushman & Wakefield, based in Hong Kong. Li, who has been with DTZ since 2011, specialises in commercial real estate market research, project positioning, upstream development consulting, investment analysis. The graduate of the University of London previously served more than three years as a manager with the firm.
