Summer is headed into the home stretch here in the Middle Kingdom and the region’s real estate professionals are busy aligning themselves with new jobs in time for the September to November high season. This week we see a development executive take over a top spot in Beijing, an agency veteran go for the big money in private equity, and a real estate consultancy start building a content marketing team. Rui Wei has been promoted to General Manager for North China with Perennial Real Estate, based in Beijing. Rui takes his step up with the Singaporean real estate investment company after serving for more than three years as vice president for investment and development with the commercial developer. The graduate of Singapore Management University also has previous experience with Ping An Trust and CapitaLand.
Qiong Wang has joined local real estate private equity firm Mutual Affluency Investment Fund (MAI Fund) as a Vice President, effective last month. Wang comes to the leading Chinese private equity player after spending the last ten years at Savills in Beijing, where he had served most recently as a director with the research and consultancy department for the UK-based property services firm.
Cynthia Ma has been promoted to Quantity Surveyor with Gammon Construction in Hong Kong. Ma’s duties include providing the electrical and mechanical service for the AAHK Midfield Concourse Project. The University of Hong Kong graduate has been with Gammon since 2012, and previously served as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Ma joined Gammon directly from university after interning with Honeywell and the Hong Kong Lands Department.
Jodie Zhu has rejoined JLL in Shanghai as Head of Content Marketing for China with the property consultancy. In her new role, Zhu will be charged with building up the mainland versions of JLL’s award-winning content marketing efforts, which include client publications The Investor, and the research blog, Real Views. The Fudan University graduate previously served with JLL for more than eight years, most recently as head of marketing for East China.
Sean Moran has joined PDM International as Senior Business Development Manager based in Shanghai. Moran comes to the Asia-based interior design consultancy from competitor Hassell, where he had served for just over a year as senior business development manager with the Australian-based firm. The graduate of Ireland’s Dundalk Institute of Technology also has experience with M Moser Associates and SIP Project Management.
