Alex Li has joined LaSalle Investment Management in Shanghai as a National Director with the real estate fund manager. Li takes on his new role at LaSalle after spending nearly eight years with Australia’s Goodman, most recently as a director of leasing and business development with the real estate investment and development firm. Li who specialises in real estate related government relationship, regulations, tax policy, and industrial asset management also has prior experience with Savills.
Sam Michael is now Executive Director of Sales and Operations with air purification solution provider AtmosAir in Shanghai. Michael takes on responsibility for company establishment, business development and investor relations as the US-based company sets up in China. The new role comes as a change from Michael’s former duties with outlet mall developer Value Retail where he led leasing of their Suzhou project for the European developer for more than three years. Michael also spent several years as an executive with warehouse developer Global Logistic Properties and its predecessor Prologis.
Kevin Zhou has been promoted to Assistant General Manager for Business Development with Shui On Land in Shanghai. Zhou is taking this step up after serving more than ten years with the developer of the landmark Xintiandi retail and entertainment project in Shanghai, where the graduate of the South China University of Science and Technology had served most recently as a senior manager in the business development department.
Lucy Xu has signed up with Cushman & Wakefield in Shanghai as a director with the company’s Retail Tenant Representation team. In her new role with the property consultancy, Xu will be assisting international retailers with their expansion needs in China, after previously spending five years with CBRE’s retail team. Xu’s move to Cushman comes just one month after CBRE’s retail head for China, Hsiang-Yun Chu, left to join the Shanghai Dream Center project.
Yichao (Mason) Liu has joined CapitaLand as a manager in charge of retail leasing with the developer’s Raffles City Changning project. Liu comes to the Singaporean giant’s project near Zhongshan Park from Forterra Trust, where he had served as leasing manager with the HQ shopping mall project. The graduate of Shanghai International Studies University also has experience with Treasury China Holdings and Savills.
Alan Chan has joined S&P Capital IQ as a client services officer with the global financial information provider, based in Hong Kong. Chan comes to the division of US publishing giant McGraw-Hill Financial from Colliers where the graduate of Canada’s York University had spent over three and a half years with the property consultancy’s Corporate Solutions division, most recently as an Assistant Manager.
