Colliers International has appointed Saacketh Chawla as its Head of Project Management for Asia, in a move to expand its services in the region, according to a recent statement by the international property consultancy.
In the newly created role, the 10 year veteran of Colliers’ India business is relocating from Gurgaon, India to Singapore, to begin enhancing the NASDAQ-listed company’s project management services across the region.
“As a high-performing Colliers professional, Saacketh brings almost 20 years of experience in the real estate and construction industry, working with real estate, design and project management consultancy firms across the globe,” commented Colliers’ Managing Director of Occupier Services, Asia, Sam Harvey-Jones. “In this newly created role, Saacketh will grow our Project Management business and support our clients with best-in-class service.”
Colliers Putting in Place Regional and National Leadership
Serving most recently as Colliers’ Deputy Managing Director for India, Chawla originally set up and developed the company’s project management business in the country. An architect by training, Chawla has delivered projects on the ground for occupier, investor and developer clients across multiple sectors, according to Colliers. In addition to his time at Colliers, Chawla also spent more than eight years with JLL in New York and India.

In June this year, Colliers introduced Harco te Lindert as its first Head of Project Management for China, as the company put in place China-wide leadership for the business line. Last month, Colin Clark, Colliers’ former Head of Project and Facilities Management for Singapore, joined Merx Construction Management as Director of Project Management for Singapore and Southeast Asia.
