Saacketh Chawla Colliers

Colliers’ Saacketh Chawla is relocating from India to Singapore to take on the new role

Colliers International has appointed Saacketh Chawla as its Head of Project Management for Asia, in a move to expand its services in the region, according to a recent statement by the international property consultancy.

In the newly created role, the 10 year veteran of Colliers’ India business is relocating from Gurgaon, India to Singapore, to begin enhancing the NASDAQ-listed company’s project management services across the region.

“As a high-performing Colliers professional, Saacketh brings almost 20 years of experience in the real estate and construction industry, working with real estate, design and project management consultancy firms across the globe,” commented Colliers’ Managing Director of Occupier Services, Asia, Sam Harvey-Jones. “In this newly created role, Saacketh will grow our Project Management business and support our clients with best-in-class service.”

Colliers Putting in Place Regional and National Leadership

Serving most recently as Colliers’ Deputy Managing Director for India, Chawla originally set up and developed the company’s project management business in the country. An architect by training, Chawla has delivered projects on the ground for occupier, investor and developer clients across multiple sectors, according to Colliers. In addition to his time at Colliers, Chawla also spent more than eight years with JLL in New York and India.

“We are delighted to appoint Saacketh to this newly created role,” added David Hand, CEO for Asia Pacific at Colliers International. “His valuable experience across the breadth of the real estate industry will strengthen our existing service platform, help accelerate the growth and success of our clients and deliver outstanding service across the region.”

In June this year, Colliers introduced Harco te Lindert as its first Head of Project Management for China, as the company put in place China-wide leadership for the business line. Last month, Colin Clark, Colliers’ former Head of Project and Facilities Management for Singapore, joined Merx Construction Management as Director of Project Management for Singapore and Southeast Asia.
