One of the great things about being a foreigner in China, is that I get to double-up on holidays!
So my apologies for taking some time off again so soon after the Christmas break, but it’s now time for Mingtiandi to enjoy a Chinese New Year vacation.
This Tuesday’s newsletter will be the last edition until the mainland goes back to work on February 7th, and I won’t be updating the stories on the site unless something fairly big happens. Or if I get really bored.
But rest assured that Mingtiandi won’t be resting on its laurels. While I sip tropical drinks by the pool, I’ll be working on some new content for the blog to keep our growing readership happy.
January was actually a fairly big month for the site, with readership increasing to an average of more than 300 unique visitors a day, and already more than 65 new subscribers this month so far.
So I hope all of you will enjoy your Chinese New Year break, “Gong xi fa cai,” and if you don’t have a holiday at this time, don’t sweat it — at the rate Chinese investors are buying overseas assets, you may be working for a Chinese company soon!
