Hong Kong is ready to host its biggest institutional real estate event since 2019 as Mingtiandi welcomes Asia’s top property executives to its first forum in the city in nearly four years.
The Mingtiandi Hong Kong Focus Forum 2023 features a keynote interview with PAG chairman and CEO Weijian Shan as he shares insights regarding his latest book, and the full day event opens with a panel led by Link REIT CEO George Hongchoy, APG head of Asia real estate Graeme Torre and Francis Li, international director, vice president and head of capital markets for Greater China at Cushman & Wakefield.
More than 250 industry professionals are expected for the event, which is being held at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Tsim Sha Tsui on 27 June, with guests from CPPIB, KIC and Blackstone having already registered.
The program, which is sponsored by Yardi and streamed over Mingtiandi’s MTD TV video platform, covers real estate investment opportunities throughout north Asia, with sessions on Japan and Korea as well as mainland China, in addition to panels on the industrial and commercial sectors.
Warburg Pincus, GCP and More
Directly following the keynote panel which opens the show, the forum will welcome Warburg Pincus managing director and head of China real estate Ellen Ng for a one-on-one interview with Mingtiandi founder Michael Cole.

A panel on Hong Kong’s industrial future will look at how the rise of e-commerce is fueling opportunities for modern logistics in the Asian financial hub, as investors bet on last-mile facilities, cold chain, self-storage and other high-yielding strategies.
Appearing in that session will be Brad Fu, executive vice president, head of acquisitions and co-director with the private equity division for Asia Pacific with Heitman; Ricky Tse, senior vice president for investment management with GLP Capital Partners and Christopher Young a senior Director with the capital markets team for Asia Pacific at JLL.
A session dedicated to mainland China will be moderated by David Green-Morgan, head of real assets research for Asia Pacific at MSCI and include as speakers Craig To, vice president and head of capital raising with Warburg Pincus-backed long-term rental platform Vlinker and Eric Pang, head of capital markets for China at JLL.
Anchoring a panel at Hong Kong’s evolving commercial hubs will be Don Taylor, director of office for Swire Properties, a session on Japan and Korea investments features Noah Wangh, managing director and head of transactions for Asia Pacific with Invesco Real Estate and a discussion on value-add and opportunistic strategies will be led by Lofter Group founder and chairperson Carol Chow, and a senior director from APG.

Mingtiandi’s Hong Kong Focus Forum brings our popular event series back to Hong Kong after an on-stage event in Singapore last October attracted more than 200 attendees, including representatives of Ivanhoe Cambridge, Manulife and Temasek Holdings.
