Mingtiandi’s third annual Asia Logistics Forum is starting off next week with an exclusive interview bringing together a top executive of one of the ten largest real estate investment trusts listed in Singapore with a veteran advisor with 20 years of experience in industrial capital markets.

In the spotlight interview session at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time on Tuesday, 10 May, Karen Lee, deputy chief executive of the manager of ESR-Logos REIT and Tom Woolhouse, head of logistics and industrial for JLL Asia Pacific, will join Mingtiandi founder Michael Cole for an in-depth discussion of what to expect from Asia’s logistics markets as the region emerges from the pandemic.

In the live television program, which is sponsored by Yardi, we will also explore what comes next after the merger of ESR-REIT and ARA Logos Logistics Trust to form ESR-Logos REIT, and look at the opportunities and challenges arising as capital markets price in the impact of economic disruption in China and conflict in Ukraine for markets still recovering from the trials of COVID-19.

Readers can register to join the interactive video session via the link above, with Tuesday’s show set to be followed by five more logistics sessions focused on investment opportunities around Asia.

Fund Manager and Advisor Share Stage

In her role leading ESR-Logos REIT, which completed its merger at the end of last month, Lee looks after the trust’s growth strategy, with the REIT having already established a portfolio of 87 properties.

With the manager of ESR-Logos REIT being a unit of Hong Kong-listed ESR, the newly merged trust is expected to benefit from its sponsor’s pan-Asian portfolio of logistics properties, with Lee set to discuss her team’s goals for the post-merger period.

At JLL in Singapore, Woolhouse advises clients across Asia Pacific on industrial real estate transactions, specialising in cross-border deals on behalf of both occupiers and investors.

Approaching the industrial real estate world from a holistic perspective, Woolhouse and his team provide capital markets, landlord leasing and tenant representation services on behalf of clients, as well as consulting on supply chain management and development.

Japan, China and Korea on the Way

Following the lead-off interview session, the Asia Logistics Forum will be back on Tuesday, 17 May with a panel discussion on opportunities in China, featuring LaSalle Investment Management managing director Winnie Yu; Cushman & Wakefield head of logistics for China, Joe Xiao; SC Capital managing director Michael Lane; and Baker McKenzie partner Jeremy Ong.

The third session in the forum will be Thursday 19 May, and will focus on the Korea market, with speakers from GLP, EQT Exeter and more. Then on Tuesday, 24 May the forum will continue with a panel on logistics investment in Korea with speakers from LaSalle, Hines and JLL.

On Thursday, 26 May, the focus will turn to emerging markets for a panel with speakers from Cushman & Wakefield and Vietnam’s BW Industrial before wrapping up on Monday, 30 May with a panel on e-commerce and innovation in logistics.
