Ellen Ng, managing director and head of China Real Estate for Warburg Pincus will appear in a spotlight interview at the Mingtiandi Hong Kong Focus Forum on 27 June. Tickets to the event are available via the Register link below while supplies last.
Warburg Pincus’ success at growing real estate investment platforms in Asia enabled the private equity firm to raise $2.8 billion for its first fund dedicated to property investments across the region and Ellen Ng, a managing director with the company, is playing a central role in investing that mega-vehicle.
Based in Hong Kong, Ng will be taking the stage at the Mingtiandi Hong Kong Focus Forum on 27 June for a keynote interview regarding her role backing and building firms including industrial specialist DNE Group, data centre operator Princeton Digital Group, Mofang Apartments and Kailong Holdings.
Having served at Warburg Pincus for more than a decade and a half, Ng also serves as co-head of Women@Warburg, the firm’s women’s network, and will also share regarding the challenges facing female leaders in an industry, and a region, which have long been dominated by male leaders.
Ng is appearing at the Mingtiandi Hong Kong Focus Forum, which is sponsored by Yardi, in one of the highlight sessions of the all-day event. Tickets to the forum are available by registering via the link above.
Platform Specialist
Before joining Warburg Pincus in 2005, Ng worked as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch where she was involved in corporate finance deals in China and other markets around Asia.

Ng is on the board of data centre operator Princeton Digital Group (PDG)
Having earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Ng leads Warburg Pincus’ China real estate business while also taking responsibility for projects across the region.
In addition to her ongoing roles at DNE Group, Princeton Digital, Mofang and Kailong, the chartered CFA holder serves on the boards of value-add specialist Golden Union Assets, Sunsea Parking, Weave Living, distressed asset investor Hande Group and urban renewal platform CREATER Group.
With Warburg Pincus among Asia’s most active logistics real estate investors, Ng is also on the boards of Orange Cold Storage, EGL Logistics and the firm’s StoreCool Logistics joint venture.
The array of residential, industrial and digital infrastructure platforms that Ng has helped to establish and lead are part of Warburg Pincus’ focus on real assets aligned with Asia’s digitally-enhanced “new economy,” where high rates of growth are supporting market-leading yields.
At the time that Warburg Pincus reached a final close on its Asia real estate fund, Ng commented that, “Our understanding of where technology and healthcare are headed and impacting the use of real estate has anchored our investments to date and will continue to help us identify new angles to increase exposure in the New Economy asset classes.”
