With less than two weeks remaining before the event, 30 speakers are preparing to take the stage at the Mingtiandi Singapore Forum on 10 September as experts from Brookfield Asset Management, Bain Capital and ESR get ready to discuss top issues facing real estate investors in the region.
Also appearing at the full-day event at the Pan-Pacific Orchard Hotel will be senior leaders from PAG, Partners Group and Gaw Capital Partners who will be taking part in discussions of strategies for investing in industrial, commercial, hospitality and residential assets in Singapore, Southeast Asia and the broader Asia Pacific region.
Over 190 representatives of institutional real estate investors have now registered to attend the forum, which is sponsored by Yardi, with attendance set to be capped at 250 participants.
Tickets to the event are available at the link above, with segments of the programme set to streamed live over Mingtiandi’s MTD TV video platform for individuals unable to secure one of the remaining tickets to the on-location event.
SLB Development, AM Alpha Join List of Speakers
Among the most recent additions to the forum’s speaker roster is Matthew Ong, executive director and chief executive officer of listed builder SLB Development, who will join the Singapore commercial markets panel.

In the session moderated by AM Alpha vice president for investor relations Caroline Dellasaga, Ong will be appearing alongside PAG managing director for investment Manwin Sidhu; Galven Tan, chief executive officer for Knight Frank Singapore; and Bernie Devine, senior regional director for Asia Pacific with Yardi.
Also new to the programme is Lynette Ng, senior associate for Asia real assets research with MSCI. Ng will be speaking in the Southeast Asia Industrial panel moderated by Regina Lim, head of real estate research for Asia Pacific at M&G Real Estate; along with Josephine Yip, vice president for investments and asset management for Asia Pacific at Ivanhoé Cambridge; Gene King, chief investment officer with Vietnam’s BW Industrial and ESR Group’s head of Southeast Asia Jai Mirpuri.
These most recent additions to the speaker line-up come after Partners Group head of private real estate for Asia last week agreed to join the panel on Asia Pacific hospitality investment, which is now set to be moderated by PGIM Real Estate’s head of asset management for Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and China, Su Lin Wee.
Also appearing in the hospitality panel are Nantachatr (Mink) Yampandh, a director with the investment team at Gaw Capital Partners’ GCP Hospitality unit and Kazuya Wakimoto, general manager for global real estate business planning and promotion with Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank.
Also among last week’s joiners was Blake Olafson, founding partner of ACRE and co-founder of HOMA, who will be discussing the dynamics of Asia’s rental residential markets in a panel now to be moderated by Urban Land Institute senior consultant Mireille Wan.
Other speakers in the residential panel include Kelvin Lim, executive chairman, executive director and group managing director for LHN Group; Eugene Lim, founder and chief executive officer of fast-growing co-living operator The Assembly Place; and Centurion Corporation chief investment officer Ho Lip Chin.
Top Experts, In-Depth Interviews
With private equity major EQT having recently agreed to buy out PropertyGuru, the Singapore-based property platform’s head of real estate intelligence for data and software solutions Dr Lee Nai Jia is joining the keynote panel alongside some of the region’s top investment experts.
That session at 2:00 pm, also includes Alessandro Fiascaris, head of Asia Pacific for Oxford Properties, Laurent Fischler, head of investments for Asia Pacific at Ivanhoé Cambridge and Jeremy Lake, managing director for investment sales and capital markets with Savills Singapore.
The programme starts at 9:00 AM with an interview with a spotlight interview with Brookfield Asset Management managing partner and head of East Asia real estate Andrew Burych leading the agenda.
Also appearing in a spotlight interview at 2:50 in the afternoon will be Michael Hui, a partner who heads special situations and real estate for China with Bain Capital, who is appearing along with his colleague, Man Kinoshita, a partner from the company’s Japan special situations team.
