Relating to the Public

2008/09/12 by Michael Cole Leave a Comment

With the launch of RightSite approaching fast we are busy getting ready to tell everyone about the wonders of our website — but first we have to find them.

That’s why our big project this week is the media directory. If the web is marketing driven, then in China the part of marketing that matters most is PR.

For most of this week and for the next two weeks our team is spending much of its time assembling a list of media outlets (I mean newspapers, magazines and websites) that cover news relating to our project.  We are looking for folks who publish articles about general business, technology, and real estate in China, and when we find them we enter their details into our SugarCRM system. Carol and Winni are getting very good at Google (and Baidu, too).

Once we have built this list we will have the complete details of more than 500 media outlets, and we’ll be using it to send out press releases of every move we make here at RightSite.  (So far we have gathered more than 100). Our website will be the best industrial property website in Asia, and we think the world will want to know about that.

Oh, and I realise that this is a bit off topic, but we are very psyched to be getting our RightSite cards.  Here’s the mockup image of my card. Many thanks to Mark Beard of Paper Stone Scissors for the great design.
