Vivian Wong, The Ascott

Vivian Wong, Vice President and Head of Business Development, Japan and Korea, The Ascott Limited

Vivian is the Vice President of The Ascott Limited’s (Ascott) and currently heads up the Business Development team across Japan and Korea, accelerating the strategic expansion of the company’s diverse portfolio of accommodation across hotels, serviced apartments and social living properties.

An industry veteran with over 20 years in hospitality and real estate across multiple countries, Vivian brings extensive experience in managing real estate funds and investments in co-living properties, hotels and serviced apartments.

Before joining Ascott, Vivian was Head of Acquisitions at Dash Living. Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Mapletree’s investment team in Japan, where she led lodging, office and data centre investments. Her earlier roles also include Associate Director of CBRE Japan’s Investment Department, Development Director of a listed construction company and Portfolio Director of a real estate fund.

Vivian is certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Chartered Surveyor in both the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, and a Licensed Real Estate Transaction Specialist in Japan. 

Ascott

This multi-brand approach allows Ascott Japan to effectively target diverse traveller segments from affluent long-stay business clients to leisure travels, millennials, digital nomads seeking social and flexible short-term or long-term accommodations.  Ascott’s portfolio in Japan contains 23 properties with over 3,000 rooms.
