Peng Wei Tan is a Managing Director in the Real Estate group and is based in Singapore. Since joining Blackstone in 2012, Mr. Tan has been involved in evaluating real estate investments in several property types across Asia and has been involved in various transactions including the acquisition of GE Capital’s Japanese and Australian real estate portfolios, the privatization of the UK-listed Japan Residential Investment Company, and the privatizations of Singapore-listed Croesus Retail Trust and Soilbuild Business Space REIT.
Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Tan worked in New York as an associate at Apollo Real Estate Advisors, a global real estate fund focused on opportunistic investments, where he was responsible for new investments and investment management. Prior to Apollo, Mr. Tan worked as an analyst at Morgan Stanley Real Estate in New York.
Mr. Tan received a BS from Cornell University, where he graduated summa cum laude and was a Merrill Presidential Scholar.
