
Edwin Wong, Partner, Baker McKenzie
Edwin Wong is a partner at Baker McKenzie and co-leads the firm’s Asia Pacific Data Centre focus group. He specialises in advising clients on the formation of a broad spectrum of private investment funds, including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, venture, debt and clean tech funds.
Edwin’s funds experience is truly international having represented clients on their private capital and fund-related matters from offices in London, Hong Kong and Sydney. He has particular expertise in relation to the formation of co-sponsored private funds and has recently advised fund sponsors and investors on a number of prominent “club funds“, separate account arrangements and joint venture funds in the data centre and logistics sectors. Edwin also represents prominent sovereign wealth funds and other sophisticated institutional investors in connection with their alternative assets investment programs. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie in September 2015, Edwin spent 7 years in London practicing in the private funds groups of a global US and UK law firm.
