Cura International Centre at night
Shanghai’s cramped downtown office market will get an injection of new space this week when a 31-story Gensler-designed tower officially debuts in Xujiahui.
The CURA International Center along Hongqiao Road was completed earlier this year, and could mark the resurgence of the neighborhood in the southwest corner of central Shanghai as a grade A office location.
The newly opened 35,093 square metre office tower is located along Hongqiao Road near Hang Lung’s Grand Gateway, and diagonally opposite a site Sun Hung Kai acquired last for a 584,000 square metre mixed-use project. The Hong Kong developer acquired its site at a record price per square metre of RMB 21.77 billion.
According to a spokesperson for Cura Zhanli Asset Management, which manages CURA International Center, “The launch of the CURA International Center fills the grade A void in Xujiahui with a high quality high spec building. This highly efficient building boasts real grade-A specs and net floor heights to rival some of the newest towers in London and New York.”
Grand Opening Ceremony and Exhibition
To celebrate the building’s recent completion, Cura Investment Management will host a cocktail reception at the building this coming Thursday, 20 November.
The reception, which is to be held on the tower’s event floor, will include an exhibition featuring insights into XuJiaHui’s history and present-day photography of the tower and XuJiaHui.
The event is strictly invitation-only, however, the organisers have agreed to make a limited number of invitations available to interested real estate professionals. To inquire about invitations, click here.
