Real estate consultancy Colliers International today announced the appointment of Tammy Tang as the new head of its Industrial Services division for China.
In her new position, the veteran deal-maker and consultant will lead Colliers’ China-based industrial services team, and will establish a new advisory team in Shanghai as well as growing the division’s project marketing capabilities.
“Having Tammy on board is exciting news,” says Piers Brunner, CEO of Colliers International, Asia. “With her expertise in the industrial real estate market and deeply established network of client and government relationships, we are confident Tammy will lead the team as top player in China’s industrial real estate market.”
Tammy has been in China’s real estate industry for more than 17 years. Her diverse background includes development consultancy, investment, leasing, and marketing in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Previously a National Director, Head of Industrial, and Head of Business Parks and Consultancy at JLL, Tammy has handled a variety of significant landlord and tenant representation projects and countless advisory projects in more than 20 cities across China.
“Tammy’s leadership will greatly amplify our ability to provide enhanced services to a larger number of clients,” says Brunner. “She can harness the wisdom of Asia’s established Industrial Services teams, and collaborate for better results.”
New Talent for a Growing Industry
China’s logistics real estate market has become a major target of investors lately with more than $3.81 billion flowing into the sector from international fund managers in the last 10 months, according to statistics compiled by China industrial real estate platform RightSite.asia.
Much of the demand for new warehouse space, and the rising rentals that this demand is helping to create is due to several years of double-digit growth in China’s retail sectors, particularly from the country’s burgeoning ecommerce businesses.
