Mingtiandi’s review of personnel moves from around the Asia leads this week with a scion of one of Hong Kong’s best-known families adding a new position to his roster of roles at the clan’s businesses. Also making the list is a board reshuffle at a Kaisa Group unit and a leadership shift at a Japanese logistics REIT.
The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Ltd announced to the Hong Kong stock exchange on 24 October that its non-executive deputy chairman, Andrew Brandler, will resign on 31 December, with Philip Lawrence Kadoorie (pictured), son of the company’s non-executive chairman, Michael Kadoorie stepping into the leadership role from the following day. As part of the personnel shift, the younger Kadoorie will also join the company’s executive committee, with Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels best known for owning and operating the Peninsula Hotel chain.
Kaisa Health Group Holdings said in a statement to the Hong Kong exchange on 22 October that it has appointed Liu Lihao, executive president and chief investment officer of its parent firm Kaisa Group Holdings, as an executive director on its board. The change has effect from that same date, with Kaisa Health also naming Kaisa Group chief financial officer Luo Tingting and chief human resources officer Xie Binhong to executive director positions in the same announcement.
Tokyo-listed Mitsui Fudosan Logistics Park said on 23 October that Kenji Kousaka has been appointed to a director role with the REIT’s manager from 1 November. Kenji is taking on his new role following Mitsui Fudosan Logistics Park’s takeover of Advance Logistics Investment Corporation from Itochu Corporation. Kenji currently serves as an executive director with Advance Logistics Investment Corporation after first joining Itochu in 1988.
Cushman & Wakefield announced earlier this month that it has appointed Supriya Chatterjee as managing director for North India. In her new role Chatterjee is expected to drive growth for the property consultancy across northern India, including the Delhi-National Capital Region commercial hub, according to a statement.The move is a promotion for the 10-year company veteran, who had served most recently as C&W’s head of tenant advisory for North India. Chatterjee also has previous experience with Colliers.
Colliers announced on 21 October that it has named Raymond Ho as an executive director with its capital markets and investment services team in Hong Kong. Specialising in the luxury residential segment, Ho joined the consultancy from JLL together with James Wong, whose hiring was reported by Mingtiandi last week. At JLL, Ho had spent more than three years with the capital markets team as an executive director.
Parkway Trust Management, the manager of Singapore-listed Parkway Life REIT said on 25 October that it has appointed Theresa Goh Cheng Keow to an independent director position on its board with effect from that same day. Now 62, Goh has served since 1998 as founder and executive director of human resources consulting firm 360 Dynamics and until recently served on the board of directors of Singapore’s Agency for Integrated Care.
The manager of SGX-listed Parkway Retail REIT announced on 22 October that it has appointed Gan Chee Yen as an independent, non-executive director on the trust’s board with effect from 11 November. Now 65, Gan formerly served as co-chief investment officer and senior managing director for special projects at state-run investment firm Temasek International, where he also was head of China.
Alan Tam has joined Savills in Hong Kong as an associate director with the property consultancy’s investment team, according to a LinkedIn update. Tam came on board at the London-based firm’s Hong Kong office this month after more than three years with JLL in the city, where he had worked his way up from senior manager to associate director. Tam had served at Savills from 2018 through 2021, when he joined JLL.
