This week’s review of people in transition across Asia brings us an update from Hong Kong where a US industrial giant makes global-level appointment and a Hines veteran has left Sydney to return to Los Angeles. Also in making the list is a new Singapore hire for Brookfield and an Executive Centre veteran takes on a new challenge in Hong Kong.

Claire Cormier Thielke

Claire Cormier Thielke has been named global head of product development for industrial specialist Prologis, taking on her new role this month in Hong Kong after over a year as chief investment officer for Asia at the company. Prior to joining Prologis in 2023, Cormier Thielke spent over a decade at US developer and fund manager Hines, including serving as country head for the company’s Greater China business.

Huffman, who had been based in Sydney since April of last year after earlier stints with Hines in Tokyo and Hong Kong, has taken on his new role in the US during the same month that former former Hines Asia Pacific chief executive Ray Lawler assumed his duties as managing partner and head of Americas with the company.

Tasked with fundraising strategy and regional management for Asia Pacific, Zhang joins Brookfield after three years with fund manager CBC Group in Singapore and Shanghai, where he was responsible for private equity real estate investment and fundraising. The MIT graduate also has experience with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and China Vanke.

The graduate of the Macquarie Graduate School of Business has now spent more than 19 years with The Executive Centre.
