JLL on Tuesday announced the appointment of David Green-Morgan as senior advisor for Asia Pacific capital markets research, with the veteran analyst having left his prior post at MSCI Real Assets in March.
In the newly created role, Green-Morgan will partner with JLL’s network of research professionals and use the property services firm’s capital markets operatives and data to analyse trends in transaction volume and investor return requirements, JLL said in a release.
The appointment took effect Tuesday. Green-Morgan is based in Singapore and reports to Pamela Ambler, the firm’s head of investor intelligence and strategy for Asia Pacific.
“David’s diverse experience in Asia Pacific commercial real estate, deep understanding of global capital markets, and his ability to provide innovative data-based analysis to JLL’s research platform will align us more closely with the future demands of investors in this maturing asset class,” Ambler said.
Research Reunion
Green-Morgan previously spent six years at JLL as the agency’s head of research for global capital markets, based in Singapore, and four years as Cushman & Wakefield’s head of Asia Pacific research, stationed in Sydney.
He joined data service Real Capital Analytics as managing director for Asia Pacific in November 2017 and was promoted to global head of real assets research at index provider MSCI in July 2022, less than a year after the latter company’s acquisition of RCA.
The $950 million buy came nine years after New York-based MSCI made its first major move towards tracking private real estate markets when it acquired the parent firm of London-based International Property Database for $125 million.
Green-Morgan holds an economics degree from London Metropolitan University and a master’s degree in environmental economics from the University of Wales Aberystwyth.
Industrial Rejig
On Wednesday, JLL announced a realignment of its industrial platform in Asia Pacific with two additional Singapore-based appointments.
Ben Horner has assumed the role of executive director for logistics and industrial in Asia Pacific after previously serving as senior director for APAC logistics and industrial solutions. Horner, who joined JLL last April from CEVA Logistics, will have oversight for new and existing business development operations with JLL’s APAC client base.
Michael Ignatiadis has taken on the expanded role of head of manufacturing strategy for Asia Pacific after serving as head of supply chain and logistics solutions since 2019. Ignatiadis will advise manufacturers with complex location requirements on the optimal site locations to enable their business and supply chain strategy.
The new leadership model will provide a single platform of expertise to serve occupiers, investors and manufacturers and enable more-informed real estate decisions, JLL said.
