
Elysia Tse has joined LaSalle Investment Management in Singapore
LaSalle Investment Management has appointed Elysia Tse as its Head of Research and Strategy for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
In her new role, Tse will be working closely with LaSalle’s Global Strategy team, led by Jacques Gordon. The team analyzes regional economic trends and property markets in 150 cities across 30 countries, and works with clients to formulate investment strategies, according to a statement by LaSalle. Tse now reports to Mark Gabbay, LaSalle Investment Management’s Asia Pacific CEO, who is based in Hong Kong as well as to Gordon, who is based in Chicago.
“Elysia’s arrival marks a key appointment at LaSalle as we bolster our strategy capabilities in Asia Pacific to support the fund management teams and help identify opportunities in the region for our global investors,” said Gabbay. The veteran investor pointed to Tse’s experience in investment market research and strategy as well as her strong understanding of the region as providing the foundation for the group’s future success.
This new role is actually Tse’s second time carrying a LaSalle name card, after she had previously been a member of the company’s Americas Research & Strategy Group between 2002 and 2005. Prior to returning to LaSalle, Tse served as Head of Research & Strategy for Real Estate in Asia Pacific at JP Morgan Asset Management, where she was responsible for formulating market views and investment strategies. Tse joined Aviva in March 2012 before its Asia Pacific direct real estate platform was acquired by JP Morgan..
Equipped with a master’s in real estate from Cornell University, as well as a bachelors in economics from Xiamen University, Tse has also worked on research and strategy at Citigroup Property Investors and BlackRock Real Estate Equity in New York.
