Cushman & Wakefield has named Keith Hemshall as the international property consultancy’s Head of Office Services for Hong Kong, according to an announcement from the company. Now an Executive Director with the US-based major, Hemshall takes charge of daily operations and client relationship management for the company’s Office Services division in Hong Kong, while providing strategic oversight and direction for the team.
Hemshall brings with him to his new employer over 27 years of real estate industry experience in Hong Kong, and other parts of Asia, having served most recently as Managing Director with Cresa High West in Hong Kong. Prior to his seven years with Cresa High West, Hemshall had held leadership roles with Johnson Controls and interiors firm RHK Design in the city.
Getting his start at the former First Pacific Davies (later FPDSavills, and still later Savills), Hemshall was part of a team that marketed over 3.5 million square feet of grade A office space in Quarry Bay and Central on behalf of Swire Properties and Great Eagle during the early 1990s, according to Hemshall’s bio.
The executive, who grew up in Hong Kong, relocated to Jakarta in 1994 and returned to Hong Kong to set up Savills’ Tenant Advisory business in 1998. In all, Hemshall spent sixteen years with Savills and its predecessors.
“We are very excited to welcome Keith to Cushman & Wakefield,” said John Siu, Cushman & Wakefield’s Managing Director for Hong Kong. “With his extensive experience in the industry, I am confident that he will make a significant contribution to our office agency and tenant advisory capabilities, allowing the team to better capture business opportunities that arise from the vibrant occupier demand in Hong Kong.”
Cushman & Wakefield and competitor DTZ merged in a deal led by US buyout firm TPG in 2015. The combined firm now has 43,000 employees in more than 60 countries and maintains 20 offices across Greater China.
