JLL Appoints Tim Graham as Global Lead of International and Strategic Capital

2024/02/28 by Kevin He Leave a Comment

Tim Graham of JLL

JLL has named Tim Graham as global lead of international and strategic capital for its capital markets division, an appointment described by the property consultancy as affirming Asian capital and assets being “front and center of the global conversation.”

Graham, who will continue to be based in Singapore, has already taken up the new role that will help to align JLL’s coverage with strategic trends and themes, as well as leveraging more sophisticated distribution solutions, according to a release from JLL on Wednesday.

“Cross-border capital has generally become increasingly sophisticated while technology has improved the ability to match capital with opportunities, allowing for better connectivity globally,”  Richard Bloxam, chief executive of capital markets at JLL said in the release. “We are investing in and enhancing our distribution capabilities within Capital Markets to reflect these changes – to provide the best structure for our clients and as a result, our advisors to be best placed to access capital and execute seamlessly on transactional activity. Tim’s appointment reflects this commitment to and understanding of investment strategies across the capital stack.”

In addition to the new mandate, Graham will retain his position as head of Asia Pacific international capital coverage, where he will continue to manage client relationships of both inbound and outbound investors in the region.

20-Year Veteran

Under his upgraded mandate, Graham will lead an international team of capital coverage professionals in connecting global real estate investors with opportunities, working with institutional investors including sovereign funds, pension funds, private equity firms and insurers, as well as private capital including family offices and high net worth individuals.

JLL expects the new role to further differentiate the firm’s global capital model and demonstrate the capital markets team’s response to shifts in investment strategies across the capital stack.

“Real estate investment has evolved with global capital strategies and countries across Asia Pacific have become even bigger participants in the global capital flows,” said Stuart Crow, chief executive of Asia Pacific capital markets at JLL. “With his extensive relationships, deep understanding of capital movements and global experience in advising investors on all facets of cross-border strategies, Tim is a natural choice to lead our enhancement coverage and distribution capabilities.”

Graham has close to 20 years of commercial real estate experience in Singapore and the UK, with the University of Reading graduate having worked in both client and advisory capacities.

Prior to his relocation to Singapore in 2018, Graham served as national director of central London capital markets, where he led multi-disciplinary transactions, originated investment opportunities, executed commercial transactions and specialised in direct equity deals and joint venture partnerships with international investors.

Graham has also worked as an investment surveyor at LaSalle Investment Management, JLL’s independent real estate investment arm.
