Asia Real Estate People in the News 2018-08-20

Asia’s community of property pros continues to be on the move in August with a Hong Kong real estate fund manager claiming back one of its former team members, and an industrial developer dipping into the brokerage talent pool as it expands in Shanghai. There’s also a new high level hire at a Hong Kong design house and details of more moves if you keep reading.

ingrid cheh PamfleetIngrid Cheh has rejoined Pamfleet in Hong Kong as Senior Investment Manager. In her new role with the private equity real estate fund manager, Cheh will be responsible for Pamfleet’s acquisitions and dispositions in Hong Kong, where the company specialises in acquiring and repositioning under-loved assets. The Columbia University graduate is returning to Pamfleet after more than four years at JLL, where she served most recently as an Associate Director responsible for Hong Kong residential research. Cheh also has experience with Sino Group and Nan Fung in Hong Kong.

tony kwokTony Kwok has joined Unified Industrial in Shanghai as an Associate Director with the workshop and warehouse developer. In his new role at Unified, Kwok is responsible for leasing space and sourcing new clients for the Japan-based firm after spending more than four years as a broker with Colliers International in Shanghai. At Unified Industrial the graduate of Washington State University is reunited with former Colliers colleague Jeremy Chapman, who established the company’s China operation in 2015 and now serves as its Managing Director.

ian milneIan Milne has joined 10 Design in Hong Kong as Design Director, after more than seven years with Atkins. With experience on projects including the China Merchants Securities headquarters in Shenzhen and the China Merchants Bank headquarters in Shanghai, Milne is moving to 10 Design soon after the Hong Kong-based firm won an Urban Habitat Award 2018 Award of Excellence from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) for its Greatwall Complex in Wuhan.

jennifer jinJennifer Jin has joined Colliers International in Shanghai as a Manager with the property consultancy’s Office Services department, specialising in tenant representation. Jin came aboard with Colliers this month after more than a year and a half at shared office provider naked Hub, which was acquired by WeWork earlier this year. The Tonji University graduate also has experience with the Executive Centre.

sean moranSean Moran is now Business Development and Client Services Lead at JLL in Shanghai as the property consultancy consolidates its 2016 acquisition of design and project management firm PDM. Carrying his new title, Moran will continue to support interior design, project management and construction services clients at JLL, after previously serving as Associate Director of Client Services at PDM.

li caiLi Cai has joined CapitaLand in Beijing as an Asset Manager with Southeast Asia’s biggest real estate developer. In her new role Li will be responsible for management of CapitaLand office assets at projects across Greater China after completing her Master of Science in real estate development at Columbia University in May of this year. Prior to having headed off to Manhattan, Li had experience with Zhengxinjiye Real Estate Marketing Planning and with JLL in Chengdu.
