This week we see several familiar faces headed for new places, including a Nike veteran hopping over to Adidas, a new MD for logistics investor The Redwood Group, Cushman & Wakefield continuing to build its team, and more. Read on for full details.
Johannes Wang is now Vice President for Retail Expansion at Adidas in Shanghai. The veteran retail real estate executive joined the German apparel maker after spending seven months as Senior Director for Real Estate and Construction at GAP China. Prior to his term with GAP, Wang spent more than three and a half years with Nike (Commercial) China, most recently as Real Estate Senior Director with the US firm.
Dr. Michael de Jong-Douglas has joined Singapore-based logistics investment firm The Redwood Group with the rank of managing director. The former Mapletree and Prologis executive has more than 15 years experience in industrial real estate, and has been given charge of acquisitions, developments, client-handling and research for the privately held investment firm. De Jong-Douglas will be based out of the group’s Singapore office.
Luie Liu has joined property consultancy Cushman & Wakefield in Shanghai as a senior manager with the company’s Tenant Advisory Group. Liu signed up with C&W after more than three years with competitor CBRE. The experienced deal-maker is the latest to join an exodus from CBRE’s Shanghai operation that has now seen 12 brokers leave the real estate services firm’s office leasing team in the last 12 months, amounting to 40 percent of the department’s headcount one year ago.
Harry He Lei has joined local conglomerate Sanpower Group as Vice Director for Asset Investment in the group’s Strategy Management Center, based in Nanjing. The former IMC Octave and Ernst & Young professional joins Sanpower as it moves from a local to global player with its purchase of the Nanjing IFC from ARA Asia Dragon Fund, and its acquisition of the UK’s House of Fraser.
Ken Zheng is now Deputy Director of Operations at with real estate developer Vantone, based in Shanghai. The former Jones Lang LaSalle broker comes to the local property firm after spending five years with KT Real Estate, most recently as a general manager. Zheng spent several years at JLL after earning his master’s degree from the University of Bath in the UK.
