This week a local asset manager adds to its senior level team, while an international property agency continues to look for ways to subtract. Also, a US fashion brand staffs up for its corporate real estate team, and more people moves. Read on for more details.
Bosco Leung has joined CITIC Capital as an Executive Director with the company’s Retail Asset Management division based in Shanghai. In his new role, Leung is part of the state-run investment firm’s real estate group, making use of the skills and experience that he gained in his previous role covering commercial asset management with Yangguang Co. The NYU graduate also has more than seven years experience with Hong Kong developer Hang Lung.
Sebastian Skiff has left his position as Executive Director and head of retail services across Asia Pacific for CBRE, effective this month. The veteran retail real estate professional is said to have new opportunities on the way, but for now is working independently while continuing to be based in Hong Kong. In addition to spending more than four years running CBRE’s retail services division in the region, Skiff also has served as a consultant to Ralph Lauren in the region, and held leadership roles with JLL and Cushman & Wakefield in Korea and Greater China.
Mischa Zhang has joined fashion retailer The Gap as a Real Estate Coordinator with the US company’s corporate real estate team, based in Shanghai. In her new role Zhang will be responsible for locating and securing new retail locations and other real estate facilities for the casual fashion brand as it expands across China. This latest position comes after the Shanghai University graduate spent two and a half years with business park developer Caoheijing, most recently as a Senior Project Manager.
Ken Wu has joined Colliers International in Shanghai as a Senior Manager with the real estate agency’s Investment Services team. In his new role the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade graduate will be assisting clients with both inbound and outbound investment transactions. Before joining Collliers, Wu spent more than one year with RET Property Consultancy (Beijing) Limited, most recently as a Senior Manager. Prior to his time with RET, Wu worked at Cushman & Wakefield for nearly five years.
Jason Fong has been promoted to Senior Analyst with the research department of CBRE in Hong Kong. Fong, who joined CBRE as a graduate trainee in 2012 specialises in covering the industrial real estate markets across Asia Pacific, and also has experience covering the office sector. Fong graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, and also holds an MBA from the University of Hong Kong.
