Wang Benlong has been promoted to joint Chief Executive Officer of Zhenro Properties Group after serving as a vice president, reflecting his “great contribution to the business development of the group,” the Hong Kong-listed firm announced. Wang holds the new title alongside Lin Zhaoyang, who has been renamed as a joint Chief Executive Officer after serving as CEO since last September. The changes took effect last week. Wang joined the Shanghai-based real estate group in 2014 and stepped up as the vice president of subsidiary Zhenro Properties Holdings in January 2017. Lin handles the overall business direction and day-to-day business and management of the firm. Zhenro Properties raised $510 million from its Hong Kong IPO in January.
Marcus Loo is taking the reins as Managing Director of Savills Singapore, after serving as executive director of the property brokerage for nearly three years. Prior to joining Savills, Loo spent 13 years at Colliers Singapore, overseeing the office services division of the rival agency. “I look forward to the opportunity to build on the growth trajectory of Savills in Singapore,” the graduate of the National University of Singapore said in a statement. Loo succeeds Chris Marriott, who drops the title of MD Singapore to focus on his role as CEO South East Asia, effective immediately. Marriott has worked for Savills in Singapore since 1995.
Steven Ming has stepped down as Managing Director, Investment & Residential Services at Savills Singapore and is holding a consultant role in the interim, after working at the property brokerage for 14 years. “I have decided to take the proverbial plunge out of corporate and follow an inner call to step out and adventure a little,” he said in a comment on LinkedIn, adding that he would remain within the real estate sector. As part of the executive team at Savills, Ming helped drive the growth of the business from under 30 people to its current size of 1,200. He joined Savills in 2004 and worked as Deputy Managing Director and Head of Investment & Sales before taking over as MD of the investment sales department.
Alan Sun has joined CFLD International as Head of Strategy and Management and General Manager, CFLD Retail & Commercial Group this month, based in Auckland, New Zealand. Sun is responsible for the company’s retail, commercial and tourism development in his role at the international arm of mainland developer China Fortune Land Development. Sun joins the Singapore-headquartered firm from property brokerage CBRE, where he served as Director and Head of Asian Client Service, Capital Markets in Auckland and China. The more than 17-year property veteran previously worked at rival agencies Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield.
Crystal Song is now spearheading the growth of H&M fashion brand Collection of Style (COS) in Greater China, based in Hong Kong. Song takes the role of Head of COS Expansion Greater China after holding a series of roles with the Swedish fast fashion group in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai – most recently as Senior Leasing Manager of Greater China driving brand expansion for COS, Monki, Cheap Monday and other H&M concept stores. The graduate of Beijing Wuzi University joined H&M in 2012 after working as Expansion Manager North China for Hong Kong-listed Stella International in Beijing.
Robin Fu has left Colliers International to join Vanke this month in the role of Senior Professional Manager, based in Chengdu. Before taking on the new challenge at the mainland development giant, Fu served on the Industrial Services team of property brokerage Colliers, providing market research, project positioning and investment consultancy. He most recently held the title of Senior Manager after joining the firm’s Shanghai office in early 2015. He also worked as an analyst at rival agency Savills in Chengdu.
