2017/02/13 by Michael Cole Leave a Comment

As we roll on past the lantern festival and head full bore into the rooster year, Asia’s real estate professionals continue their pursuit of the perfect role that will bring them fortune, happiness and maybe even longevity in the new annum. This week we a private equity real estate veteran finds a new home with a specialist shop that splits between parking garages and tropical beaches, while yet another Greater China veteran finds happiness in Singapore. Read on for all the details.

joyce loJoyce Lo has joined specialist private equity real estate shop LimeTree Capital Partners as a Director, based in Hong Kong. LimeTree, which was founded in 2005 by former Deutsche Asset Management APAC CEO James Goulding, has been expanding in recent years as it pursues its twin strategies involving beachfront land in emerging markets, and more subterranean mainland China car parks. Prior to joining LimeTree, Lo spent over two years with Palmer Capital Asia in Hong Kong, and the MIT graduate also has experience with Pramerica Real Estate Investors (now PGIM) and Lehman Brothers.

andrew slevinAndrew Slevin has joined specialist valuation and appraisal practice John Foord as Professional Services Director, based in Singapore. In the newly created role the long-time real estate executive is responsible for the development and execution of business service strategies for the company’s offices across eight countries in Asia, Europe, the Americas and Australia. Prior to taking on his new leadership position the trained valuer founded a professional training startup in the UK, served as head of CBRE’s offices in eastern China, and ran the Shanghai operations of Knight Frank and its predecessor Chesterton Petty for more than eight years.

kam hung yuYu Kam-Hung is now Head of Agency at the GuoZhongLiang Group, based in Hong Kong. According to a statement by the former CBRE executive, Yu is working together with the Shenzhen-based service company to expand their Consultancy and Agency division, as part of the establishment of his own professional services business in Hong Kong. Yu left his position as Senior Managing Director of Investment Properties for Hong Kong at CBRE during August last year. He previously had served as the head of the company’s valuation team for Greater China and was with the agency for nearly 15 years.

alton wongAlton Wong is now Director and Head of Advisory Services at Cushman & Wakefield in Hong Kong. The role is a promotion for Wong who became a Director at the real estate consultancy in March of last year. The graduate of the Master’s in Real Estate program at the University of Hong Kong has now been with Cushman & Wakefield for more than four years, and also has prior experience with JLL and Savills.

As usual, if you know of other China real estate professionals changing their jobs, getting promoted or just doing something exciting, please feel free to share with the rest of the community here at Mingtiandi.
