  • All networks have their own audiences and advantages
  • Try several networks with different posting strategies
  • Then focus on what brings the best results

  • It’s also Chinese only
  • Age profile of 15-35 years old
  • Primarily urban users

Facebook is Global and Huge

  • Powerful source of personal social recommendationsfacebook logo
  • It’s blocked by the GFW
  • Many people use it only for informal, fun stuff
  • Information can be limited to people in your network
  • Age profile is 15-55

Twitter is a powerful broadcasting tool

  • More open than Facebookusing twitter in china
  • You don’t have to be followed to be found
  • It’s also blocked in China
  • Audience tends to be other people selling stuff, techno-geeks and US-centric
  • Age profile of 15-40 years old

LinkedIn Reaches Business People

  • Many business groupslinkedin logo
  • Average age of users 25-50
  • Links are not followable by search engines
  • Users are not as closely knit as Facebook
  • Your information is only visible to your direct contacts and is not broadcast (ala Twitter)
  • Limited access to analytics data to measure the effectiveness of your sharing

Other Networks

There are lots of them. Try them out, measure the results and do more of what works.
