Noel Neo has been appointed CFO of budget hotel firm K Hospitality and CEO of its investment advisory unit K Hotel Advisors, according to a press release from Singapore-based K Hospitality. Neo takes on his pair of new roles after helping the year-old firm raise seed financing of S$2 million ($1.44 million), according to a statement by the firm. Before stepping into the hospitality venture, Neo had spent just over two years with Temasek Holdings subsidiary Stewardship Asia Centre and also previously served as research chief at the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA), in addition to stints with private equity fund manager Pacific Star Holdings, and SGX-listed Pacific Star Development.
SC Capital Partners has appointed Chris van Beek as Executive Director and Head of Investor Relations, based in Singapore. Van Beek joins Suchad Chiaranussati’s private equity fund manager from Australia and New Zealand-focused real estate debt specialist MaxCap Group, where he had spent just over a year and a half as Distribution Director for Real Estate Credit. The University of Amsterdam graduate also has previous experience at UBS, Aberdeen Standard Investments, CBRE and Colliers International.
Fangchao Dong has joined Guangzhou Yuexiu Industrial Fund Management as a Senior Investment Manager, according to an update to his LinkedIn profile. Dong joins the fund management division of Guangzhou government-backed Yuexiu Industrial after more than five years with China Orient Ruichen Capital in Shanghai, where he served most recently as an Associate Director. The graduate of Nanchang University also has previous experience at CBRE.
Sha Bao has been promoted to Investment Manager at Financial Street Holdings in Beijing after serving more than two years with the developer as an Investment Supervisor. Sha, who during her time at Financial Street has been responsible for conducting feasibility studies for commercial property acquisitions, as well as for financial modelling and appraisals of target properties, has received her promotion after joining the firm in 2017 from CBRE.
Daryl Lim has founded rental deposit management platform YourRent in Singapore, according to an update to his LinkedIn profile. The graduate of Australia’s RMIT University has established the rental deposit provider after previously having founded and operated property management platform Facilit8te, an on-demand home concierge and co-retail venture from 2015 through mid-2019.
Monica Low has joined CapitaLand in Singapore as a Leasing Manager with the Temasek Holdings-backed real estate giant. Low joins CapitaLand after more than two years at Colliers International in the Lion City, and the graduate of the UK’s University of Bradford also has previous experience as an Associate Division Director at ERA Real Estate, as well as with SLP Scotia and with DBS Bank.
