One of Asia’s biggest real estate conferences is coming to Hong Kong this week and Mingtiandi will be leading a panel of investment experts examining the prospects for China’s real estate market at the event, which is expected to attract several hundred people.
Appearing on Tuesday 26 November, the opening session of MIPIM Asia, Mingtiandi founder Michael Cole will moderate a panel exploring how China’s tighter credit markets have affected real estate investment in the country during 2019, and predicting what to expect in the new year.
Warburg Pincus, CITIC and S&P Share Insights
Doing the heavy lifting in the group session will be Warburg Pincus Managing Director Ellen Ng, CITIC Capital Holdings Managing Partner and Head of Real Estate Stanley Ching and Christopher Lee, Head of Corporate Ratings for Asia Pacific at S&P Global Ratings.
The panel at 3:00 pm on the first day of the two day event at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Wanchai will be the core discussion on China real estate at the conference, which will include more than 30 separate conference sessions.
In its 13th rendition, Vanessa Cheung of Hong Kong-based Nan Fung Development will be among several industry personalities delivering keynote addresses at MIPIM Asia. Also appearing at the event will be CK Asset Holdings Executive Director Justin Chiu, Gaw Capital Partners Managing Principal Kenneth Gaw, Link Asset management CEO George Hongchoy and Allianz Real Estate Global CEO Francois Trausch.
Proptech Session Looks into Real Estate Innovation
On Wednesday the 27th, a separate session, MIPIM Proptech, will delve into digital transformation of real estate in Asia Pacific.
Included among the speakers at this innovation-focused session will be Aaron Block, Co-founder and Managing Partner of MetaProp.vc, Jonathan Hannam, Managing Partner of Taronga Ventures, Andrew Young, Associate Director of Sino Group and Asif Ghafoor, CEO and Founder of Hong Kong-based property listings platform Spacious.
