
Tishman Speyer CEO Rob Speyer will the keynote speaker at the event
One of the real estate industry’s biggest regional events comes to Shanghai this week when the annual meeting of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) is held in the city from June 15th through the 17th.
The ULI APAC Summit, organised by the industry non-profit organisation, will feature a series of group forums and talks on Wednesday the 15th, with the larger conference kicking on Thursday with a keynote address by Rob Speyer, CEO of US developer Tishman Speyer.
Also among the lead speakers at the summit are Blackstone Group senior managing director Stuart Grant, Shui On Land chairman Vincent Lo, Gaw Capital chairman Goodwin Gaw, and GIC co-head of Asia real estate Wai Keong Loh.
The event, which finishes on Friday with a tour of real estate and cultural projects in Shanghai, covers a broad range of topics related to real estate and urban development, including the rise of mega-cities, China’s One-Belt One-Road program and urban regeneration.
The Washington, DC-based ULI is a nonprofit research and education group with the stated mission “to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide.” Mingtiandi is a media sponsor of the event, which will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Jing An Kerry Centre.
