North Asian markets have emerged as APAC’s strongest so far in 2024 with rents in the Seoul area having risen 1.1 percent in the first quarter of this year, despite an uptick in warehouse supply, according to JLL.
Meanwhile, Japan continues to lead the region with trades of income-earning logistics assets growing nearly 36 percent last year to $6.9 billion in value, according to MSCI Real Assets. Asia’s second-largest economy is expected to maintain its status as a preferred investment destination amidst the global macroeconomic climate, with anticipated increases in industrial production, exports and imports throughout the year.
