Asia added nearly 2.3 gigawatts of data centre capacity in the first half of 2025, according to Cushman & Wakefield, as digital infrastructure players in the region position themselves to profit from investment in generative AI which reached $33.9 billion globally last year, excluding public sector commitments.
To find out more about the race to build the infrastructure for Asia’s AI boom, Mingtiandi is hosting a panel discussion 11 September, that will focus on the market for serving the region’s largest data centre customers. Featuring speakers from ESR, ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, Yardi and Baker McKenzie, the programme will explore the impact of AI on demand in the region, and the challenges of developing scale in a region where power and water resources are often limited and regulatory regimes are evolving rapidly.
