With Mingtiandi’s Singapore Forum just three weeks away, senior executives from PAG, Partners Group, ACRE and PropertyGuru have joined the roster of speakers for Southeast Asia’s biggest real estate investment event of 2024.
The agenda for the 10 September event at the Pan-Pacific Orchard Hotel is set to include more than 25 speakers, with top leadership from Brookfield Asset Management, Bain Capital, Oxford Properties and Ivanhoe Cambridge also joining the forum.
Covering sectors including commercial, industrial, residential and hospitality, the full-day forum, which is sponsored by Yardi, is expected to attract more than 200 attendees, with tickets still available at the link above.
Also on the agenda this year is a session on Singapore’s growing role as a nexus for capital in Asia, with speakers from the Singapore stock exchange, Bain & Company and online investment platform Fraxtor set to join that panel.
Roster Fills Up
Partners Group managing director Joseph Chien will be joining a discussion of hospitality investment in Asia Pacific alongside Nantachatr (Mink) Yampandh, a director with the investment team at Gaw Capital Partners’ GCP Hospitality unit and Kazuya Wakimoto, general manager for global real estate business planning and promotion with Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank.
That morning session will be followed by panel on residential investment which now includes Blake Olafson, founding partner of ACRE and co-founder of HOMA. Olafson will be covering the topic along with Kelvin Lim, executive chairman, executive director and group managing director for LHN Group; Eugene Lim, founder and chief executive officer of fast-growing co-living operator The Assembly Place; and Centurion Corporation chief investment officer Ho Lip Chin.
Dr Lee Nai Jia, head of real estate intelligence for data and software solutions at PropertyGuru Group is joining the keynote panel, which leads the afternoon segment of the forum.
Dr Lee will be covering the biggest challenges and opportunities facing investors in the region together with Alessandro Fiascaris, head of Asia Pacific for Oxford Properties, Laurent Fischler, head of investments for Asia Pacific at Ivanhoé Cambridge and Jeremy Lake, managing director for investment sales and capital markets with Savills Singapore.
From PAG, Mingtiandi will be welcoming Manwin Sidhu, a Singapore-based managing director for investment with the company’s real assets division. Sidhu will be appearing alongside Galven Tan, chief executive officer for Knight Frank Singapore, with additional speakers to be named in the coming days.
Spotlight Interviews Lead the Show
Highlighting the forum’s function as a source of market information and thought leadership, the event will open with a spotlight interview of Brookfield Asset Management managing partner and head of East Asia real estate Andrew Burych. Responsible for the Canadian giant’s strategies in Greater China, Korea and Japan, Burych will be sharing his insights from more than a decade in senior roles at Brookfield.
In the afternoon spotlight interview session, Mingtiandi founder Michael Cole will sit down with Bain Capital executives Michael Hui, a partner who heads special situations and real estate for China with the investment firm, and Man Kinoshita, a partner from Bain’s Japan special situations team.
The Bain Capital executives are expected to share their insights into how recent changes in Asia’s two largest economies are opening up opportunities for investors and what to expect from the China and Japan markets in the coming months.
