Mingtiandi’s fifth annual Singapore forum concluded on Tuesday with more than 270 senior executives gathering at the Conrad Singapore Marina Bay for a full day of discussions on real estate investment strategies across Asia Pacific.
32 speakers took the stage for the event, sharing insights on opportunities in Singapore, Southeast Asia, Australia and across the broader region.
The attendance made the forum Mingtiandi’s biggest in-person event ever, with more than 1,500 viewers tuning in for the livestream of the forum, which was sponsored by Yardi.
Interviews Lead the Programme
Highlights of the programme included an interview with Warburg Pincus managing director and co-head of Asia real estate Ellen Ng on the evolution of Asian property markets, as well as a discussion with GLP China CEO Angela Zhao on her company’s expansion beyond its logistics roots into data centres and renewable energy.
With digital infrastructure strategies gaining favour, Bain Capital partner Drew Chen spoke on his company’s investment in Bridge Data Centres; Joe Gagnon, partner at Hillhouse Investment and co-head of Rava Partners, shared his team’s approach to creating specialist real estate platforms and Michael T Smith, group chief executive of Hongkong Land, provided insights from his company’s transformation into a manager of third party capital.

In addition to the interviews, the forum included panels on hospitality investment, industrial and infrastructure, Singapore as a global capital hub, commercial investment, and the outlook for the living sector across Asia Pacific.
