The PERE Asia Summit is being held in Singapore next week for the first time ever, with Mingtiandi founder Michael Cole set to speak at the event alongside industry leaders including ESR chairman Jeffrey Perlman, Ivanhoe Cambridge co-head of Asia Pacific George Agethen, and dozens more.

The three day conference will open on Tuesday, 31 May with a set of three forums focused on debt and financing, logistics and REITs before continuing on 1 June with the global investor forum and concluding on 2 June with a second day of global investor sessions and an afternoon focusing on family office issues.

Mingtiandi is proud to be partnering with the PERE Asia Summit once again, with the event returning to an on-location format this year at the Fairmont Hotel at Raffles City after two years of online sessions due to the pandemic.

The global investor segment of the conference kicks off at 9:00 AM on 1 June with a panel on the state of real estate in Asia Pacific, featuring KKR head of real estate for Asia, John Pattar; Mapletree deputy group chief executive officer, Tiow Chye Chua; Hines country head for Japan, Jon Tanaka and M&G chief investment officer and chief executive officer Jing Dong Lai in a session moderated by Baker McKenzie principal Kelvin Poa.

At the summit, Michael Cole will be moderating a panel on real estate investment in Australia at 10:10 AM on Thursday, 2 June, exploring opportunities for institutional players in Asia Pacific’s largest English-speaking market.

Speakers on the Australia panel will include Dexus head of institutional capital development, Natalie Tan; Hines senior managing director and head of Australia, David Warneford; Baring Private Equity Asia head of real estate for Australia, Paul Gately and Pro-Invest Group co-founder and chief executive Sabine Schaffer.

The global investor sessions also include speakers from City Developments Ltd, Allianz Real Estate, Savills Investment Management, Credit Suisse and CPP Investments.

Debt, Sheds and REITs

The first day of the conference begins early Tuesday afternoon with the conference tracks focused on debt and financing, logistics and REITs running in parallel until cocktail hour.

The debt and financing track features speakers from DRC Savills Investment Management, Phoenix Property Investors and NNIP, while the logistics module is highlighted by participation from Oxford Properties, Forest Logistics and Indospace.

With the conference being held in Singapore, the REIT track includes speakers from ESR-Logos REIT, Elite Commercial REIT, Manulife US Real Estate and Keppel REIT.

Family Affair

With Singapore growing in importance as a family office hub for the region’s ultra-high net worth individuals, the afternoon of the third day focuses on family offices.

The wealth management segment of the show features speakers from Gaw Capital, Pimco, and CBRE, while tackling topics ranging from sustainability and technology to how to settle family feuds.
