Having welcomed nearly 200 industry professionals at our inaugural Hong Kong Forum in 2023, Mingtiandi returns in 2024 to once again bring together top experts for a full day exploration of the opportunities and challenges in Asia’s biggest financial hub.
The Mingtiandi Hong Kong Forum 2024 features keynote interviews with Link REIT CEO George Hongchoy and Serakai Group founder and CEO Ben Cha, as they share insights and strategies on navigating Hong Kong and mainland China’s property sectors amid a backdrop of moderating interest rates and Hong Kong’s recent property market support measures.
The all-day, hybrid forum will open with a keynote panel on Greater China’s macro outlook with Gaw Capital Partners’ president and managing principal Kenneth Gaw and CPP Investments’ managing director of real estate Rebecca Lam, and will also feature a spotlight interview with executives from Warburg Pincus and Vlinker on China’s rental residential sector.
The programme, which is sponsored by Yardi and streamed over Mingtiandi’s MTD TV video platform, covers real estate investment opportunities in Hong Kong and mainland China, including discussions on the lodging, industrial and office sectors, as well as talks on value-add and opportunistic strategies. More than 250 industry professionals are expected for the event, which will be held at the Ritz-Carlton in Tsim Sha Tsui on 14 May.

Following the opening keynote panel and keynote interview, the forum will welcome a senior director of AB Capital Investment for a panel on investment opportunities in the North Asian lodging and living sector to discuss how changes in society and economy are reshaping demand in Greater China, Japan and Korea.

A session dedicated to value-add and opportunistic strategies will include John Saunders, Link REIT’s group chief investment officer, and Carol Chow, founder and chairperson of Lofter Group, with the executives discussing opportunities in acquiring and redeveloping existing commercial assets in Hong Kong.
The forum will also feature a spotlight interview with executives from Warburg Pincus and Vlinker as they unpack the demographic, economic and policy shifts driving rental demand in mainland China’s residential sector.
The event will also hold panels on the future of Hong Kong’s office and industrial sectors, and will conclude with a discussion led by Humbert Pang, managing principal and head of China at Gaw Capital Partners, on opportunities for global investors in mainland China.
