After exploring the China, Japan and Korea markets this past week, Mingtiandi’s APAC Logistics Forum continues in the coming days with panel discussions looking at Asia’s emerging markets as well as at opportunities Australia.
With Southeast Asia and India among the primary beneficiaries of diversification of supply chains in the region, the forum will focus on the two regions in a panel on Asia’s emerging logistics markets at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time on Tuesday, 18 June. Featured in that panel will be representatives of BW Industrial, ESR and Mapletree Investments.
The online forum, which is sponsored by Yardi, will continue at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time on Thursday, 20 June with an exploration of the Australian market with speakers from DWS, ESR, Hale Capital Partners and MSCI Real Assets.
The first two sessions in Mingtiandi’s fifth annual APAC Logistics Forum attracted more than 1,200 viewers to the company’s MTD TV video platform and you may register to watch this week’s programme through the link above.
Supply Chains Diversify
With more manufacturers basing part of their production outside of China, warehouse rents have been on the rise in both Southeast Asia and India, despite significant increases in logistics supply in the two regions.

In Australia, after a challenging 2023 for the logistics market, investors are becoming active again, thanks to an encouraging macro environment and opportunities for higher yields as well as for building platforms in some attractive niche sectors.

Singapore, Data Centres, Tokyo on the Way
Thursday’s session will conclude Mingtiandi’s APAC Logistics Forum for this year, but there will be a look at Southeast Asian industrial strategies at Mingtiandi’s Singapore Forum, which is coming up in the Lion City on 10 September.
That full day event will also feature sessions on lodging investment, India opportunities, Australia capital markets, and Singapore commercial markets, as well as interviews with executives from Brookfield Asset Management and more.
In October, MTD TV will bring back its annual data centre forum for the fifth time, and then 12 November will bring a closer look at the Japan market through Mingtiandi’s first ever Tokyo conference.
