Real estate services company Knight Frank recently announced the appointment of Thomas Lam to the position of Senior Director, Head of Valuation & Consultancy, as part of the company’s expansion of its valuation & consultancy division. Lam, who previously headed the Research & Consultancy division in Greater China for the UK-based firm will now oversee the company’s General Valuation and Mortgage Valuation divisions.
Commenting on his colleague’s advancement, Alnwick Chan, Executive Director, Head of Valuation & Professional Services at Knight Frank said, “Thomas’s promotion is a testament to the significant contribution he has made to Knight Frank. With 14 years’ experience in the real estate industry, outstanding track record and strong relationships with developers, banks, government bodies and many more, he is well equipped and capable to take on the opportunities coming his way in his enhanced role.”
Lam joined Knight Frank in 2011 after serving as a director with RHL Surveyor Limited overseeing research, corporate advisory and valuation services in China and Hong Kong. He has also worked for Colliers, taking responsibility for the company’s consultancy and valuation services in China and the Asia Pacific region, as well as having served with Credit Suisse where he handled real estate finance and securitisation projects in China.
Lam is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), a Professional Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (MHKIS), a Registered Professional Surveyor (General Practice), a Member of Chinese Institute of Real Estate Appraiser (MCIREA) and a Member of the Hong Kong Securities Institute (MHKSI).
