Jonathan McCall has joined regional logistics real estate investment firm The Redwood Group as Investment & Strategy Integration Manager based in Shanghai.
In his new role with the Singapore-based warehouse developer, manager and investors McCall has responsibility for integrating business development, leasing and asset management across the company’s China platform.
Based in China for more than four years after earlier serving with BlackRock and Citi Group in the US, McCall has more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience. With BlackRock in California McCall was part of the private equity firm’s commercial real estate fund management team where he was involved in all aspects of fund management including fund raising, site selection, underwriting, asset level strategy and lease execution.
Since moving to China in 2010, McCall was involved with commercial real estate with Colliers in Beijing before co-founding TFP Capital Partners in Shanghai more than one year ago.
The hire by Redwood is the second senior level acquisition to the company’s team in the last six months, with Colin Clark having joined as construction director at the end of last year.
Founded in 2006 The Redwood Group is a privately held developer and manager of warehouse and distribution property. Last August the company received financial backing from US super-investor Sam Zell as part of a wave of international fund investments into China’s rapidly growing logistics real estate sector.
