Speaker Bio: Taku Yamaumi of L Catterton Real Estate MTD TV Productions

Taku Yamaumi, Partner, Head of Japan, L Catterton Real Estate

Taku Yamaumi is based in Tokyo. He joined Groupe Arnault/LVMH and eventually L Real Estate in April 2006. Taku is serving as a Partner of L Catterton Real Estate, leading the effort mainly in Japan and as a Senior Vice President, Head of Real Estate Investment & Development of LVMH Moet Hennessy-Louis Vuitton Japan G.K. Taku has 30-year experience of real estate investment and development.

Prior to joining L Real Estate, Taku worked for LaSalle Investment Management (LIM) within its acquisition team for 2 years in Tokyo. He worked on transactions ranging from office, hotel, retail to logistic developments. Before LIM, Taku worked for over 10 years for premier Japanese developer Tokyo Tatemono. He oversaw structuring investment in mixed-use development, residential and retail with institutional foreign and domestic investors. Taku was also in charge of investment opportunities in Asian countries including Southeast Asia. Taku started his career in asset management with a specific focus on residential and hotel/resort developments.

Taku earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law from Keio University. He is licensed as a Real Estate Consultant and as a Real Estate Broker in Japan.

L Catterton Real Estate (LCRE) is a real estate investment/development department of L Catterton established by LVMH, a global leading company of luxury brand business, and its holding company Agache. Focusing on unique large-scale mixed-use project globally, LCRE is conducting unique real estate investment/development from 2005 strategically utilizing the know-how to analyze the global consumer sector trend by L Catterton.

Partnering with the credible big local premium developers who control established urban neighborhoods, LCRE has developed and managed strong brands for all investments to create premium value.
