Asia Real Estate People in the News 2019-02-11

The year of the pig is now fully underway in the lunar calendar-loving parts of Asia, and along with their red envelopes, a number of lucky executives also seem to have received fresh jobs for the new year. In Shanghai a veteran broker finally gets the keys to one of the world’s largest property consultancies while Brookfield’s property management division has upgraded one of its senior executives, and one of Asia’s fastest growing warehouse developers has added some asset management talent in Singapore. Read on for all the details on these career moves and more.

tammy tangTammy Tang has been promoted to Managing Director and head of China at Colliers International, taking full responsibility for the mainland operations of the property consultancy. Tang, who will continue to be based in Shanghai, steps up to her new position one year after being named Co-Head of China and over four years after joining Colliers from data centre investment firm GDS Services and Infrastructure. The University of Hong Kong graduate also has previous experience with JLL.

david cainDavid Cain is now Executive Managing Director for Asia at Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions in Singapore. Cain’s new role comes after the industry veteran has been with the property management division of Canada’s Brookfield for more than two and a half years, having previously served as Executive Director for Asia while based in Hong Kong. Cain also has previous experience with Cushman & Wakefield and JLL in Hong Kong.

karen leeKaren Lee has joined Logos Property in Singapore as Head of Asset Management for the logistics development platform. Lee came on board with the pan-Asian warehouse builder and operator this month after more than a decade with what is now Ascendas-Singbridge, where she served for nearly eight years as Head of Singapore Portfolio and Asset Management with Ascendas Fund Management Singapore. Lee also has previous experience with The Trust Company Asia and Mapletree Logistics Trust Management.

henkey liHenkey YH Li is now a Senior Manager with the Investment team at Savills in Hong Kong. Li, who joined Savills in the city in 2015, previously served as an Associate with the company, and now will primarily be responsible for deal analysis and brokerage with the capital markets team. The graduate of the Masters of Science in Real Estate program at The University of Hong Kong also has previous experience with JLL in Guangzhou.

will tranWill Tran has joined Cushman & Wakefield in Vietnam as an Associate Director with the commercial leasing team where he will serve both tenants and landlords in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Tran joins the C&W team after more than three years with Colliers in HCMC, where he originally joined as Director of Residential Services before becoming Head of Sales and Leasing for both commercial and residential real estate.

Yen Nguyen has joined the Workplace Resources team at Palo Alto Networks in Singapore, where she specialises in ensuring that the US cybersecurity firm’s team gets the food, fitness and fun opportunities that make them want to come to work. Nguyen comes to her new role after just less than two years as a Community Manager with flexible office provider The Work Project, and the certified personal trainer also has experience with Sofitel Luxury Hotels and Resorts in Vietnam, Macau, Cambodia and Singapore.
